2007 Hino 258 misfire under acceleration

Uo101 doesn't mean anything if it's inactive. P0102 and P0113 were set when you unplugged the MAF sensor. P0183 is the fuel temp sensor on the fuel pump. The sensor pretty much never goes bad, so I'd suspect wiring. This will cause limp mode. P0193 is the common rail fuel pressure sensor high...

2007 Hino 258 misfire under acceleration

Is it drivable at all, or does it make zero power?

2007 Hino 258 misfire under acceleration

A scan tool with live data may be essential for fixing this. I'll continue to think about it. Had anything been done to the truck before the problem first started?

    Wow 20 years!

Aren't the 'normal' ones around 600 hp?

    Hino 268 misfire

Does your mechanic have a scan tool that can read engine codes and see live data? What year is the truck?

2007 Hino 258 misfire under acceleration

Did this happen all of a sudden or did these symptoms coincide with some event? FYI, engine data is pulled from the 16 pin connector. I don't know what scan tool you're using, or whether it's compatible. The injection timing is not adjustable. If you disconnect the mass airflow sensor does...

Do you have any backstory on it? Any event that coincided with this symptom?

    Hino truck not getting power

Did the ground wire from the battery to frame break? Send me the VIN if you can

    Hino P1545

I don't have a definition for that code, either. Weird. Are there any symptoms besides extended crank? And how extended is the crank before starting?

    2004 Mitsubishi Fuso FE649 15' box truck

One of our customers has an older Mitsubishi. Its got around 650k miles. It runs great. The problem is that they are much less common than other trucks, so you might struggle to find competent mechanics to work on it. I spent several hours replacing all the brake lines with Nicopp tubing because...

    Secondary Air Leak

I recently worked on a truck with a leaking fitting on the fan clutch. You couldn't hear the large leak over the engine noise, but when you cut the engine off the fan clutch solenoid turns off, stopping the leak. With the engine at a low idle the compressor couldn't keep up with the leak, so...

2016 Hino 268 jerks back and forth on freeway (55-65 mph)

I'd check the brake switch adjustment first. Its super easy to check and it can cause an instant power-no power situation.

    Was this problem resolved?

2016 Hino 268 jerks back and forth on freeway (55-65 mph)

The first thing I'd check is the brake pedal switch.. If it's out of adjustment it can intermittently cause no power. If you're flooring it, it could go from no power to full power in an instant. When the brake pedal is released, the plunger on the switch should be fully depressed. If it's not...

    Hino 338

There is almost certainly a burner problem. Burner and DPF health is tied directly to injector health. The injectors do not last forever.

Unfortunately Australian Hinos aren't models we see in the US so this isn't something I have any knowledge of.

2010 Hino 268 Intercooler hose compressing

The hose collapsing has nothing to do with the throttle body. The restriction is upstream of the hose. That leaves the intercooler, air filter, and turbo as suspect.

    2013 Hino 268 won't auto degenerate

Its almost certainly a burner issue. It is unlikely to be computer related. Since they've been putting Cummins engines in Hinos, there's been no more training on burner trucks. Good luck finding someone who knows how to fix it. Send me a pm.
