    Global Economy Good For America?

I've stopped shopping at WalMart. And it wasn't the stories of foreign sweatshops that did it for me, either - I felt pity for those workers, but not enough to pay more for everyday products. What made me an ex customer is the relentless poor treatment of American workers: low wages, benefits...

    About national Healthcare

I read a guest editorial the other day in the Lafayette, Indiana paper. Mr John Patterson wrote about receiving a bill for a hospital visit, of $205. His medical insurance got a 75% discount, and had to pay just $49. He asks: if the care could be covered at $49, why should an uninsured person...

    any info on "American Expediting?"

RDC, did you ask the recruiter, or whomever you spoke with at the company, if they can give names of current or past drivers you could talk with? Their response to the question would be an indication of their belief in themselves, at least. Also, seek out their drivers, wherever you can find...

    Delivering on Black Friday

There is a mall in Pittsburgh, (West Bethel, I think), where the loading dock for Sears is in the parking garage. Sitting at the light, on a steep hill, waiting to turn in, you can't even see anyplace to go once you get in - to the left, there's a parking lot studded with islands a t/t can't get...

    About national Healthcare

Jayman, you asked what I want: I want people, myself included, to have access to jobs that allow us to pay for what we need. That includes taxes for the common needs, and our own individual needs: housing, upkeep & repairs, food, clothing, medical/dental care, transportation, upkeep & repairs...

Howdy, It's Been a Long Time

Having contracted with five owners over, what, two years, one could certainly tell the difference between high end & basic general trucks, but the implication that FedEx Custom Critical is the only wise choice, and the only way to drive with creature comforts, is outrageous! Sounds like there's...

    About national Healthcare

It is a truly sad, and scary thought, that health care, higher education, home ownership, and savings accounts for retirement & emergencies, have become luxuries for so many people who work to support their families. Jobs that pay a living wage are pretty scarce these days, and even combining...
