    My Pet Peeve!!!

Fr8shaker: you left out the part about walking 8 miles to school every day, in 3 ft of snow, uphill both ways, etc...:P

    My Alabama trip

Greg, now there is one subject on which you & TallCall can agree 100%! See, there's hope for the whole world, when you two can commiserate on something....Thanks for the laughs - though I'm wondering if you found it amusing at the time? PS I bet lots of drivers have a 'dumb security bozo' story...

Thanks, Rich, but I bet you don't confuse Freightchaser with Freightshaker, or Raceman with Fastman, (sorry, guys!)

    About national Healthcare

Hawk, I'm not challenging your statement that a lot of people using the ED have new cars, because it's easy to get credit for things you don't need - in fact, the less necessary something is, the easier it is to get it on credit. But I am saying that folks who work to support themselves and...

    Nice IRA 2?

Another example: 3 soft drinks a day from the soda fountain: $4.50 Three cans from the twelve pack that cost $3.00: .75 cents. Ice from anywhere you have a cup from, like Pilot, TA, Flying J: free! (There is no charge for the ice, just the cup. I keep one each from Pilot and Speedway, & get...

I don't think so, Jayman, and I like to read other people's opinions. Particularly real people, not columnists in the papers. I hope that you and Freightshaker will keep sharing your thoughts - communication is hazardous at times, (there's probably dozens of people who think I'm an idiot), but...

    to terryandrene

Rino, having run into Terry & Rene, & Highway Star, just a few weeks ago, I assure you, it can be done - as the old saying goes: "he can run, but he can't hide" - that Hot Fr8t plate is a dead giveaway, lol. And it's pretty cool, too!;)

    PrePass Rip Off

India, (BTW, I love your name!) would you be a little more specific regarding the odd things you seem to be doing to cause the red lights? Some of us might be doing them too, no? :)

    Investigations and accounts receivables

John, it's not that hard to find me, though you've got two of my names misspelled, cause I'm not hiding. I'd have to be dumber than I look to use my actual name, if I wanted to be anonymous....It was an ex boyfriend I suggested you find, not me! PS - if it turns out to actually be JamminJim -...

    About national Healthcare

TennesseeHawk: Health insurance would give me satisfaction now - the satisfaction of knowing that I won't be bankrupted by an illness, injury, or medical emergency. (The kidney infection sure showed me how it can happen, even to a healthy person, in fairly good shape). I'm afraid I haven't any...

Chuckwagon, I don't think anyone said (or believes) that most officers are liars. They do seem to be much more aggressively writing tickets, though. In my opinion, the reason isn't safety, it's pressure from above to produce revenue. In Ohio, the Highway Patrol did a study on weekend crashes...

Awesome! I just tried it, and got addresses for two local post offices in Dallas - Lawrence, you are the MAN! :7

    About national Healthcare

Highway Star: you are fortunate indeed, as was I, once: if I hadn't had decent insurance coverage when I got a kidney infection that ended up costing me a kidney, (after two surgeries), I would have been bankrupted by the cost. But lots of people aren't so fortunate, and when those people...

RE: Panther Rates on their own banner ad tells the Bernie, deadhead isn't going to work & not getting paid for it, it's the travel time to get to work - and I've never gotten paid for that anywhere! We just have a longer way to go to get to work :P

Raceman: Sorry, I don't think it's me you're looking for:'( Letzrock: Yes, I know him, but we're no longer married - if you know where I am, don't tell, ok? JamminJim: Karin says You better not! Highway Star: Aint no such thing...;) :P :7

    BOLT EXPRESS UPDATE

I think that probable inability to make the scheduled pickup on time, for whatever reason, is a valid reason to turn down a load. If the pick up can be delayed to allow a reasonable amount of time, dispatch will say so - if not, I don't want to be blamed for failure to achieve the impossible...

I agree with Linda Caffee: it's safer, smarter, and a lot less costly to stick pretty close to the speed limit. If you think it's safe to drive 80, I hope they take your license, because you are endangering everyone around you.

    My Pet Peeve!!!

Wouldn't it be great if carriers included the following provision: "Ontime pickup and delivery subject to accurate information" In other words, if the name on the building is not what's on the paperwork, the address is not displayed on the building, and no one answers at the phone number...
