    Cheap phone ?

Biggest problem with trying it on the road is the internet connections can be very iffy - I'd still need the cell to feel sure I don't miss anything.

    Louisville Truck Show Starts Tomorrow!

I'm in SC, and won't make it unless I get a load close to Louisville. Sure hate to miss Jeanie's cooking, and all the 'socializing' - especially since the weather's gonna be pleasant for once.

using a hidden cell phone to track equipment

Termite: I thought it was a good idea, actually, especially if it catches lowlifes like the one we just heard about. Don't let Moot bug you - taking it off into the weird zone is what he does, and it's generally pretty funny (though sometimes he gets so weird I don't catch it either - I really...

    Storytelling 101

A brand new one created just for this lollapalooza: "Most convoluted-twisty-turny-with switchbacks& cliffhangers-out the wazoo script ever written" And Dreamer has agreed to accept the award, which will be a shoo-in, because anyone who upsets Dreamer will never write in this town again. :)

    GPS Systems?

Until a true truck-specific GPS comes out, the Garmin Nuvi works very well - even the low end model will get you where you're going. Just remember that it doesn't know from low clearances, but if you disregard the routing, it will automatically recalculate your route almost instantly.

Time out - this isn't in the script, (but then again, I AM the script girl, so can make it say whatever, lol) but Doug 'gets it'. We need to blow off steam sometimes, and this is waaaay better than btchin, eh? Now back to the mayhem - where were we?

    White and green no pay

Linda, you're right: my response wasn't especially nice. However, the post that was deleted was a duplicate of one by the same author just minutes earlier. Posting duplicates is extremely rude, and was in this instance, most likely a 'drive by post' from someone we'll never hear from again...

    first post

Mypie's post was excellent, but I have to comment on two things. First, the 'girly girl' issue: I can't do it, (and wouldn't anyway, cause it's not my style), but I know more than one female driver who manages to keep up with the manicures and styling, so it can be done. Second, not only must...

    Is getting hazmat worth it?

Having been fingerprinted for both Hazmat and FAST, it bothers me to have to do it again for a TWIC card. First because of the high cost to me, but also because I feel that the inability of the various security agencies to share information is downright scary, ya know? I'm sure I'll get the dam...

    Illinois 55 limit debate

I heard from a reliable source that Greyhound has an arrangement with most, if not all states, to pay any speeding tickets without quibbling, long as the bus isn't stopped. Inky: I was the one who described the Ohio speed limit on the turnpike, because I live there, and it was an ongoing story...

    White and green no pay

As you're new here, maybe you didn't realize that most members are bright enough to catch the drift with one post - no need for another, ok? In this case, no need for the first post, as the subject has been covered weeks ago. Sorry you didn't read the warnings then, maybe you'd have Run, Just...
