If you read the article linked above, you'll see that he didn't have time to switch his duty status before taking the wheel - even the police called him a hero. It's nice to see some positive press on trucks drivers, for a change.

I agree 100% that everyone who is able to work, ought to. I've worked since age 15, and don't much care for paying taxes to allow some who could be working, to stay home instead. BUT: first, there have to be jobs for people to work, and they have to pay enough to support at least a basic level...
