It is certainly a sorry situation, but it happens in for-profit hospitals as well. Human error happens everywhere, not just in government facilities.

A situation that occurs too often, IMO: we arrive at a specified delivery time, only to find no one there. Someone failed to take the simple step to ensure that the delivery time was set to the consignee's schedule, and it makes me wonder why others aren't REQUIRED to do their job to the same...

Even the yukkiest microwave is easy to clean: put a container of water (like a measuring cup, or a bowl) in, set timer to bring water to a boil (varies by power level), then wait a few minutes after the 'ping' to let the condensation soften dried on stuff, and wipe off inside with a paper towel. :)

Have to admit it was a surprise to get the sticker - even though it was clearly a blown fuse that I couldn't have known about before turning the lights on (it was still daylight), and every other t was crossed and i dotted, you still don't expect to be given a commonsense break by DOT - sad...
