My feeling is that if SHE opted for the license, it's up to her to make it happen.

Cheri Heppner Bolt Express D unit 1 Don't pay for what I can get free [ice, water, etc] 2 If I have to pay for it, check the Dollar stores first. 3 Slow down - it's not such a rush that speeding is required.

    A few Questions about California

That would be zebra mussels. When we used to take our boat on Lake Erie, it was required to have an inspection sticker declaring it 'zebra mussel free' - don't know if that's still the case. I do know a lot of damage is wreaked by folks inadvertently bringing in plants and critters [even...

    A few Questions about California

The idea is to prevent the import of invasive plants, [loosestrife comes to mind], diseased plants, and infestations. A lot of harm has been done [such as zebra mussels] by bringing flora and fauna to a new place, knowingly or not.

Oak Grove I-70 Petro Truck Show

I'm at the Petro just down the road, in Kingdom City - but I never have luck in KC, so am heading for St Louis. Maybe next time......:)

    not for hire

Windell: I strongly suggest that you get a copy of your state's laws on motor vehicle and licensing regs, and find the info that applies to your situation. Then, if you're challenged by law enforcement, [who sometimes don't know the laws too well themselves], you can show them that you're legal...

    How is Expediting going?

Reading relevant threads on EO [in General, Newbies, Ask the Recruiter] will give you some idea of how business is lately. I wouldn't put too much faith in how long folks are sitting - sometimes, they have a list of "don't wannas" that keep them there, or other reasons that don't have to do with...

    Nations Express

Which proves Xiggi's reply correct. Nations Express has the answer you seek, but you're asking in the wrong place.

    Suggestions?

Since I don't know where the suggestion box is, I'll type mine here, and hope it reaches the right pair of eyes. First, could the fleet msgs be held until afternoon? Because drivers who delivered early in the morning are just nodding off around 0800, after driving most, if not all night, and...

    not for hire

Being 'not for hire' doesn't mean you can drive without the proper qualifications - if the Pete has airbrakes, [duh!], you need the endorsement to legally drive it.

    June Location

Morningstar & I did some shopping at Marc's [my favorite store in Ohio],then split up. I don't know where she went, but I'm holed up in a nice room for the night, watching "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" on HBO - it was a great book. Family picnic tomorrow, then back at it! :)

    your wildest invention.

I wish someone would invent an umbrella for the truck roof - retractable and tilting, to shade the truck from the sun and shake off excess snow in the winter

    Citizenship revoked

I think the SWAT team acted with due regard for life - their own, which is what matters. Anyone who has ever been in a life or death situation knows that adrenaline kicks in, and instinct aided by training takes over. The officers knew the scumbag had already killed one of their own, [and the...

    This is a good read!

That was a very good reply. Can't agree with it, but it was well written, and without the ranting you frequently indulge in. The reason I disagree is that people are more than the sum of their parts, and the thinking person takes in new facts and ideas every day, causing their opinions to...
