nah..just trying to make the point...If Greg's nearest PO closes..he might have to go another 5 miles to get his packages..while the people living in Reva, SD will have to go to Lemmon, SD to get their's..a distance of over 70 miles. From our rural point of view, close that dang city one down...

They just keep talking about that 5 day work week...and have been for a long time..time to act! Now residents of rural communities will have to drive 70+ miles to pick up any packages or deliveries that won't fit in their mail boxes. Should bring back the Pony Express!

Yep..and that grass seed is starting to sprout in all three locations now. It's supposed to get into the mid 80's today, so I'll get as ready for winter as I can. :)

no kiddin! It was so darn cold this morning I had to close the few windows I had open and turn on the heat. I think I'd better yank those tomatoes from the vines!

Trying to rub my eyes awake now...man it's cold in here. Good sleeping weather...window open and electric blanket on. :cool:

and another 7 pints of salsa...and yep..I'm licking my lips...:)

and I've got enough tomatoes to make a double batch of salsa! And they're brewing..

Get a couple of cats...they eat all kinds of bugs!:)

Well OK! I dug up about 2 dozen garlic bulbs..and that's ample supply for the winter! Also picked another 2 dozen tomatoes so I'll be the Salsa Queen by this afternoon!:D

and ya get spoiled here at home too...good thing you haven't turned into a spoiled brat...:D

They say a lot of crickets mean a cold early winter and we've got millions of them. They eat the grasshopper eggs so they're beneficial, because we had a ton of grasshoppers this year too...then they sneak inside the house and my cats eat them, along with munching on the grasshoppers... Cats...

And about 160 days until I can plan the next garden...:D
