    cummins recommend oil

First, Shell is fine. Don't change it unless you can't get it. I used Mobil One in the truck and could not find it anywhere outside of Charlotte for some reason. SO I switched to Shell. Second is do an Oil Analysis done every other oil change. If you see good numbers, extend it out a bit to...

    Cummins ISC Engine

Well np, the issue with the soot is caused by a number of things. I would first look at driver habits. "lugging" the engine under load (meaning low below 1100) will cause it and you won't see it. The main thing is your mileage. If it is good, then things are alright with the timing and...

    Absolutely brilliant idea!

Nope that's not the right question. The right one to ask is why are we even bothering with a combination of government agencies? Safety has been a subject to the airlines industry forever but in the past 30 years it has been such a mess that we forgot what it was really like to actually...

    Absolutely brilliant idea!

OVM, it is rather stupid, repeat STUPID to screen the people who can crash the plane in the first place. The problem isn't with a need to 'screen', it is the problem that the people in the government, all levels for that matter, still have this knee jerk reaction mentality coupled with the...

Well there are a lot of other places to go to or if you can take in some tourist sites, lots of those in the state.

    Absolutely brilliant idea!

Isn't that how Israel handles their baggage? They put baggage into a big chamber, de-pressurize it and then pressurize it to see what goes off. Reading about the TSA and how they yet stopped anyone, it seems we need to rethink their existence. Maybe putting the airlines in charge of it is the...

Ok Everyone, LET ME HAVE IT! Poor it on hard!

This is a perfect illustration of a three way failure. The first one is the carrier. A lot of carriers do not provide any training in CSA 2010, they leave that up to the driver which in my opinion is wrong. They shifted the blame onto the drivers because of the new reporting system and now...

    Washing our truck?

Well the reason I asked is I had a neighbor who kept calling the hood ornament a handle and lifted the hood up by it.

    Has it back fired?

Well that may be true enough. Me, I am sitting at home, taking care of business, having fun trying to get a cat feeder I built to work right - sometimes I think it has a mind of its own, trapped the cats four times today. The dog feeder worked great until the dogs decided to tear it apart for...

    Has it back fired?

Its got to be a pretty boring night when we all are talking about chit chat, seeing people post with their 'app' and listening to the silent majority. :p Does anyone want to know what I did to fix the issue with my new project using FPGAs?

Ok Everyone, LET ME HAVE IT! Poor it on hard!

The Congressional Record is the minutes of the congress, not the legislative record. So let me clear this up. CFR 39, part 137 has no section in it about FSC. It has to do with rates, who does what and how rates are passed on. The house in 2005 passed as part of the highway bill a proposed...

Ok Everyone, LET ME HAVE IT! Poor it on hard!

Actually the problem is there isn't a law. What many seem to think is an attempt to add to one of the highway bills has not made it out of committee except in 2005. What many consider as a law is a practice by the carriers and brokers alike, who dip into the fsc. It would be great to have all...

Ok Everyone, LET ME HAVE IT! Poor it on hard!

Verbal contracts are tricky and if you have a lawyer who isn't good at advising you to walk, then a verbal means nothing. There are some states which will recognized a verbal contract but only if there is proof of one. As for the CSA 2010, well it has started in a way. Still seems to be...

    Does anybody know???

I have a rule during this holiday with my guests as I do every day of the year Alice's Restaurant Massacree will never be heard in my home or in my vehicles. Sorry for those who like the story/song but it was a while ago (before Cable and XM) where every radio station I listened to played...

Ok Everyone, LET ME HAVE IT! Poor it on hard!

First I really wish you would have listened to my ranting. I hope all of this has a happy ending for you but I got to tell you that regardless it provides more proof that this is a business that should be taken a bit more serious. Actually that isn't true at all. See it is a contractual...

    Has it back fired?

From practical experience, leave the thread alone if it there is any drifting. If the thread evolves into a chit chat with a bunch of chatty people, so what. Once you get mods involved with an obvious redirection then normally the thread dies and people seem to lose interest.
