    Next years expo entertainment!

That was pretty cool! He should play for us, because he deserves a better audience. He was playing his little heart out, and people are all "Eh - flaming bagpipes, BFD" right? We would appreciate him, yep. ;)

Make extra money while waiting on your next load!

If it involves sleeping with a fat person or selling Avon, he can count the rest of us out, lol. :p

    I've been warning about this

"Accept me" and "embrace me" are not synonymous. There are many, many things we can accept without embracing, and homosexuality is one of them. I don't believe it's "wrong", it just is. It harms no one, and therefore, I have no problem with it. I don't see the over the top "Gay is great"...

Heads up if you're going to Ky next few days

During the years I lived in Daytona Beach, I worked at Volusia Mall, directly across the street from the race track. I'm familiar with the headaches of race traffic, and would just as soon avoid it. ;) there's a lot of huge events over the summer that cause traffic jams, I hope those with...

    I've been warning about this

No matter what kind of home one comes from, the current practice of gay bashing ultimately derives from just one source: religion. You are welcome to your religious beliefs, but you cannot insist that everyone else follow them as well.

Heads up if you're going to Ky next few days

It's actually not a bad idea, being proactive when heavy traffic is expected - I'd rather detour/reroute than crawl in stop & go, but when you're not local, you probably didn't know about the event.

Heads up if you're going to Ky next few days

Kentucky State Police: Post 5 News Release Big NASCAR race, so all commercial vehicles get rerouted - has this ever happened before?

    MATD. Where Are They?

Sharp: how does the "ability to stop texting through the GPS" differentiate between the driver and a passenger? Texting is one of the worst forms of distraction because it's primarily done by drivers who are inexperienced, but ALL kinds of distracted driving are dangerous. And yet...

At least she's not on the jury...

I'd pretty much agree with that, except there are 2 things that just don't fit, IMO: if Z has a clear case of self defense, why do his statements contain so many illogical elements, & why was Martin's reaction so wildly disproportionate, even for a typical combative teenager? I think the answer...

    Load1

Noneya: I'm a solo, but I have driven a S/T for a couple years w Load 1, and I have never found better people to work for & with.

At least she's not on the jury...

So I looked into it a bit more, and it seems Martin's history of "breaking into things and stealing" consists of one incident where the school searched his backpack [looking for a marker after someone wrote "WTF" on a door] and found some women's jewelry & a screwdriver. The jewelry was given to...

At least she's not on the jury...

This is hilarious: Zimmerman "didn't have knowledge of the law"? What do you suppose he was learning in his classes for Criminal Justice - how to be a cook? Even if he was failing most classes [which he was], you can be sure that when the subject was protecting yourself from the law, he paid...

    Principal threatens valedictorian

Educators who haven't taught their students to change bad rules/laws by working within the system, rather than simply breaking the rules & laws they disagree with have utterly failed to teach what needs to be learned.

At least she's not on the jury...

We can't really see anything when listening or reading a transcript, it's open to interpretation. If you believe Zimmerman is truthful, that's your opinion, but I disagree. I think he lied about who instigated the fight. That's my opinion, which I've backed up with numerous instances of his...

At least she's not on the jury...

I didn't question your honesty, just your reason for interjecting a comment in a thread in which you have no interest. Especially when it's a comment you've made so many times before that it goes without saying. Or, it should.

    Principal threatens valedictorian

Yes, I read it, and it said the school rules were illegal, but they followed them. Whether it's illegal to preapprove a speech is debatable - the law [or school policy] says they cannot "draft or edit" it, but they can approve or reject it, seems like. Either way, if the kid felt it was wrong...

    Principal threatens valedictorian

That would be for the courts to decide, not the kid who decided to break the rule, then complained of the consequences.

I can wholeheartedly agree with that last statement, at least.

    Principal threatens valedictorian

I imagine the rule about pre approving speeches given at the ceremony has it's roots in someone's antisocial behavior - much like the carriers who don't allow drivers to walk around the building unescorted. Everyone suffers for the behavior of the few, but the rules is the rules, and the kid...
