On Substance ... Or Lack Thereof ...

Hard to say? Most of the people say in Syria would love to see Assad disappear. I don't think they would care who did it.

On Substance ... Or Lack Thereof ...

I like many thought initially, that the idea of taking Sadam out was a good idea. They say there was no weapons there yet I had a brother over there that actually saw some of the chemical weapons. This was on the border with Bahrain. Fast forward to today, and much of the information was...

    Modern Life In Appalachia

I'm not quite sure but the wife has a way of doing it every time. After Friday I am not bothered by much until Monday.

Sometimes putting someone on "ignore" can be self cleansing. For years I have put myself on "ignore" every Saturday and Sunday and look at me now.

Are Any Expedited Carriers Concerned with keeping on Own/Op with current low rates?

Re: Are Any Expedited Carriers Concerned with keeping on Own/Op with current low rate I think that is a good case for some/many carriers because it is a supply/demand business. At the same time, I am mindful that some nameless carriers are making millions. In many cases, on the back of their...

    Used HEUI pump

The other option is if you buy it, you can take it to a Cat dealer and they can bench test it. Probably $100 bucks, but what they will test is whether it leaks and condition of the bearings.

The reason you have difficulty comparing to the Cat is there are many different contracts. What someone new gets is likely different than someone that has been there for awhile. There is also a difference with government loads and that type of thing. Most paying .30 more per mile. FSC same...

Sounds like an ok plan. They should raise your rates since they no longer have a recruiting department. Sounds like a win-win for both sides.

AT&T in $48.5bn deal to buy DirecTV

Might be where you are at? Haven't had any problems. Did have to do a reboot of the modem once after a storm but that was it. You can go online and do a test on your system to see if it is having issues. Haven't had to use it yet.

AT&T in $48.5bn deal to buy DirecTV

Not sure it is good for the consumer, but will make them more competitive against Comcast. We dumped Comcast in TN and went to U-verse. Much better at basically everything and about half the price. We have Brighthouse in Florida and it is marginal at best. Will switch to U-verse there when they...

Still not really following you? I am from the south and I am in no way insulted. Just remember, more people move down here than any southerners moving north. No need to take anything as a insult. Just look at the results.

So let me get this right. You have a carrier with numerous contractors wanting to sue over rates, followed by a recruiting department that is funneling their few prospects through a third party company in order to charge their fleet contractors a 800 dollar fee per driver? Gee what could go...

    Cargo Van Freight Volume

Probably more so as there is a larger variety models verses say 10 years ago. There is actually more freight out there verses years past. The difference from what I see is that it is more tailored to straights and tractors verses the vans. Add in more vans than previous years and it is a slow go...

I don't see Panther cutting drivers pay, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if some of the carriers exposure is shifted to the operator. Seems to be all the rage as of late.
