    Health Insurance

Good information. We have been on a plan though the ACA exchange, coming off of it at end of month because I am n covered by a group plan at work now, just in time too, our current ACA plan went from about $400 to $1200 a month for 2016! The system is broken! Shelby

    6,000.00 wow

Probably worth it it some, maybe all of us if you plan on spending a number of years in a truck. I have read some about these seats an there are guys whose career was over due to a bad back and these seats allowed them to drive again.

    Cargo Van Pay for parking

There are times I would gladly pay the fee to know there was a reserved parking spot waiting, a little less happy when general parking starts costing! The reserved spots are nice when you know you will be in late and likely no spots, just one less thing to worry about as not everyone can be off...

    It's a Team's Life Dissenters

I think Lawrence nails it right there, I know people that seem to think if you aren't running the wheels off you can't be successful, quite the contrary, miles don't necessarily equal good pay, so I hear things like the "the Caffee's don't run much or all they do is go to shows or this or that."...

    New trucks & antigel

Point taken, I think some distributors probably do a better job than others AND there are different winter blends. One regional CFN distributor has three blends as follows depending on how much D1 and/or or additive is in the blend: Blend #1: +0 cloud point, -10 cold filter plug point, -20 pour...

    New trucks & antigel

I think it may depend on what you add, Howes Lubricator seems to address the concerns of our resident mechanic and should be safe. The issue is fueling south and running north in the winter, if you only purchased fuel up north wouldn't be an issue as it is winterized at the point of sale. TS

    Tires causing wander

I have only run either Goodyear and now Michelin for over 25 years on my personal vehicles, so maybe that is why my experience is different? Getting harder to avoid "Chinese" tires, last set of Goodyear trailer tires I bought for my Wells Cargo utility trailer were made in China, just a shame! I...

    Tires causing wander

Would this be a non issue if all four tires were replaced at the same time? I have never experienced this with LT tires or any other tires, BUT I always replace all of them at once. TS

    Fold Out, Wall Mount Bed

Murphy Beds are semi-common in custom sleepers from Bolt and others on tractors or large straight trucks, don't know if there is room in a van with freight on board, the demo video is in a Sprinter motor home, but they aren't trying to also accommodate a couple skids while sleeping..

    The Power of FaceBook

Today is friend's birthday, he died in May 2014 but his account is still active and FB reminded me to wish him a HBD, sadly there are still some folks still doing that today two birthdays after he passed, I am guessing that really weren't "friends"...

    Cargo Van Anyone in Chicago?

Probably little chance of that happening with John being on the thread!

    Fold Out, Wall Mount Bed

I don't think that would work in a van :) I know Wells Cargo used to offer a fold down wall cot as a factory option, you might be able to buy one from a WC dealer? TS

    Cargo Van Anyone in Chicago?

I hear you living in Oregon, off the road right now, BUT the job I finally got was for a local guy who had a contract with a private carrier to run their trucks nationwide, I spent the better part of my time there running eastern USA and Canada, a good owner and a good driver shouldn't let the...

    Any one doing Winders 10?

Funny how I even got onto WIN10, of course I long ago opted in for the update from WIN7, when the time cam I kept postponing the actual update as I didn't want to interrupt work OR having something go wrong and end up bricked. Woke up one morning and it was installed AND waiting for me to answer...

    Any one doing Winders 10?

It might be because WIN10 comes with it's own PDF printer that is now installed, I have AcroBat Pro and it still works, ALTHOUGH I might of had to make that the default AFTER the upgrade? Overall WIN10 seems OK and most importantly it didn't break much during the install, in fact older printers...

    GPS nuvi problem

Turtle, of course I wouldn't use a Garmin on the dash for a surveying job, it is just a tool to navigate close to start using the proper tools for the task, I do load survey points in my Nuvi via a GPX file and it will talk me to where I need to get out and start looking for a monument, the same...

    GPS nuvi problem

Cheri, can't help with your specific issue, BUT will say my Garmin Nuvi has frozen more than once, rebooted at the most critical times, etc., to where I have been ready to heave it out the window. It seems to have most issues in the truck mode, been running it lately in my personal vehicle in...

    GPS nuvi problem

Turtle, I haven't found what you are saying at all with my Garmin units, when you pass an elevation sign, the GPS unit is almost always within a few feet of the posted summit sign. It is true that GPS measures ellipsoid heights, BUT you can convert those to orthometric heights (commonly called...
