Will toys keep a ST driver happy?

Haha, they might keep some people a little more positive when waiting for a load for a couple days or more.

Real Expediters Do NOT Use GPS...

I like a combination of both. I use the map to look at a place real quickly when getting a load, if I'm not familiar with the town. That way I can see what it's by before making a decision. I like the GPS, but know it's not perfect by any means. I guess if you are someone who will follow it...

    Stone Cold Hard Core Tucker

Lol, that reminds me of the drivers who say if you have a nice truck you must not be making any money because you are sitting so much. Why would someone want to be out for months at a time and have nothing. You give up a home, so why not have a home away from home.

Bored out of my mind in Monroe, Michigan

Cool, I'm glad to know it's within walking distance. And for anyone who reads this....please, if you know of any trails near truck stops please let me know. I have a pretty decent list of some, but I'm ALWAYS looking for more so if you know of any, feel free to send them my way. Thanks:)

Bored out of my mind in Monroe, Michigan

Is that State Park where you can walk to it from the truck stop? Or is there a way for a straight truck to park?

Heading out into Expediting the 13th. Any advice?

I have some good advice. Stay positive, and don't listen to all the negativity and complaining that you tend to hear out on the road. Things get hard, but if you stick through it with a good attitude and you will come out stronger.

    transporter Diet aug 15

My husband and I changed our entire lifestyle in the truck and he lost a little over 100 pounds and I lost 65. We both weigh less than we did in high school and feeling great. It was the best thing we ever did for ourselves. It definately takes planning your meals, strong will-power, and just...

    September Location

Just delivered in Laredo and hoping we're not here much longer. It's so hot here. I should be used to the heat, being from Texas, but I'm not. We just came back from spending a week running up north in the nice cool weather, so it makes it that much hotter.

    What would you do??

I think you did the right thing by calling the police. It can be weird out here sometimes. Some of these guys make you feel disgusting by the time you get back to your vehicle...lol. I usually don't do anything without my husband or where he can watch out for me. Some of these men say things...

    Dry Skin Relief

Ill have to tell my sister. She's had severe allergies and skin problems her whole life. Her skin basically produces no oil whatsoever and she also has days or weeks where her skin is peeling, red, super dry and hurts. She took an allergy test as a kid and the only thing with zero reaction...

    Green Tea Diet

yes, i mean aspartame turns into methanol. They do have Stevia back out...don't know if its the same, but it is a natural sweetner. I read a bunch about food and I stick wtih natural foods. If it has more than 5 ingredients, it's probably not that good for you...lol. There's many foods out...

    Green Tea Diet

And just so any of you know...there was a study done on different types of green tea, and the bottled kind barely has any of the "good stuff" you're drinking it for in the first place in it. best to brew your own, and lemon is supposed to make the antioxidants three times more potent. White...

    Green Tea Diet

We are regular green tea drinkers, although I had never seen your post before. Over the course of the past year and 2 months my husband has lost a little over 100 pounds and I've lost 67 pounds. Of course we made major lifestyle changes and continue these changes. Its not a diet, but really a...

    Expediter services info please

We drove for them for about 2 years and never had a complaint with them. They were great. We only left because we had to leave the company we were leased on with for personal reasons and decided when we came back in the business to go with another company. They didn't have trucks on with...

What is for lunch and dinner this month....

I couldn't live without our food sealer. We grill out about once a week or once every two weeks and seal up the meat in individual servings. Usually only chicken as we don't eat red meat but once a week at most. We don't eat out a single bit, and pretty much have went all natural. No...

    Linder's Green Tea

We also drink green tea about 2-3 times a day, and found a way that works for us. We bought one of those ice tea makers at walmart and make a day's worth of tea, stick it in the fridge, and it's always cold and ready when we need it. Just put a couple ice cubes in the cup, along with some...

    Why is it?

Sometimes I think they want to see if you're one of those people who just complain like them so they can join in on the negativity...lol. Others are like those mentioned, just starting a conversation.

    Have a question

Well...I knew there probably wasn't a way to get around it. Doesn't hurt to see if anyone knew something I didn't. Guess my husband will be driving the whole way...lol. I don't really want to have to pay for a medical card and then pay for another one at orientation, cause I'm pretty sure they...

    Have a question

Hello everyone. I have a question. If I am going to drive for an owner who already has a truck on with a carrier, and I'm going to drive it to orientation, do I have to have a new DOT physical and medical card....my old one expired in February. We had to come off the road and take a little...
