    Finally the NEW 2010 Sprinter...

I was talking about the real transit, not the transit connect, the one sprinter looking that they have been selling in europe for ever.

New Technology and FedEx Custom Critical

I am in a B unit and unfortunately, I am on a flat rate, so I cannot play with the pay. However, there are things that I can play with to recoup the $260. And I will make sure to tell them why I don't do those 'you are the only van in the area and the customer is waiting on us' bad loads...

    Finally the NEW 2010 Sprinter...

If Ford would get their heads out of their behinds and bring here the real Transits, they would give some competition to the Sprinter. Until then, Sprinter rulez.

At home. Miserable day here, but at least it is not snowing. Eddie, I don't know why, but your avatar gives me the creeps.

Eddie, I had a delivery in Detroit in the morning and I stopped at the J to get some sleep. I pulled in next to you, but then moved away because I had 2 generators running on both sides, so I needed some quietness. When I left at around 4:30 you were not there any more. There were too many...

Will it still have the big ugly dome on the top, or the small flat thing that Bolt uses?

Stuck in Roanoke for the weekend. We had over a foot of snow here. Have a load for tomorrow morning to Detroit. Hopefully the road clear enough to get to the interstate, otherwise my sprinter won't make it. PS. Not to bad to be stuck in a place if you are stuck with some good friends. Had a lot...

To be honest, I would like to keep my current c-link. I finally got it working right, and now I have to get it changed, and watch it. I will have to go to PJ to get it installed, so they can screw up something else on my vehicle like last time. I have no use for their GPS, or fuel economy, or...

Is it the ECONOMY? Or are we to blame for the low rates?

Greg, To be honest, I only worry about my bottom line. If I don't make money, I do not do the load. I don't care if I am dinged with a refusal. Since my company went to the new load opportunity system, I cannot see my acceptance ratio, but I believe it is waaaay below 50%. Believe me, I would...

    Tire Discounts

If you are talking about the Michelin tire discount that FedEx CC is offering, yes, it works for anything, van, car.... The trick is to find a tire dealer that is set up for 'michelin national billing' or some crap like that. The only one that I was able to find was NTB/Tire Kingdom. They are...

Yesterday driving through DC I heard the most awful screeching noise I have ever heard coming from under the hood of my beloved Sprinter. Pulled over like in the next second, shut it down and looked under the hood. I saw nothing out of ordinary, so I started it up and I heard this grinding noise...

Got a load for tomorrow to Orlando. I am already at the transfer point, waiting for the other driver to bring it down from ohio. Be careful if you drive on I75 between Chattanooga and Atlanta. The road is an ice rink. Tennessee is ok, I guess Georgia ran out of salt shakers. Be safe.

    Million mile mark!

I know another one here on EO with that kind of miles. He used to be with Roberts. I hope he will come in and post his actual miles.

    Million mile mark!

That is great OVM, when did you start expediting? As for me, I started in August 2005 (great expediting time), 312,000 miles and no tickets or accidents. Will love to drive my Sprinter over the 1,000,000 miles mark. Congratulations.

    sprinter v ford or chevy

I could have changed the rear end twice and the transmission once in my sprinter and still come out ahead with the money that I saved on fuel so far. But none of that yet. See my earlier post. BTW, for those of you that are more mechanically inclined and what a DRB III - like machine that can...

    sprinter v ford or chevy

Money pit? Let's look at some real numbers here. I have 312000 on it right now. Average fuel mileage for the life of my sprinter (gallons purchased divided by miles driven - including fuel used by my espar sprinter) is 26.5 miles to a gallon. So, let's say that I get only 26 mpg, in 312000 I...
