Just a clarification, Baldwin & Lyons charged the correct amount, but FedEx messed something up and charged me more than they should. BTW, looks like FedEx is still working on it. Haven't heard anything back from them.

If you haven't checked your statement for this week, do it to see if they charged you the correct amount for the non-trucking/ physical damage. Mine was waaaay wrong and I hear that many other trucks are affected. I called it in and they are working on it. Make sure yours is correct.

Exactly what I am thinking. If these new drivers will be busy, it will be ok, but if they will sit like everyone else it will be terrible. This raises another question though. Will these flat rate trucks be given preference in opportunities over the other trucks just to keep them moving?

Greg, my 2500 sprinter weighs in at 5260 lbs with me in it and all my crap. GVWR is 8550 lbs, so legally I can theoretically haul 3290 lbs. But I will not put more than 2500 lbs back there.

That is true, but almost all the time I am referred to as FedEx, not FedEx Custom Critical. So yes, we are small compared with the big FedEx, but we are thrown together in the same pot.

I prefer percentage all the way. Not to mention that it bugs the #$%# out of me when I see on the customer bill of lading how much they paid and I got a measly 35% from that.
