Red, You are absolutely right. In the price of a gallon at the pump they include tax, which is different from state to state. So, in the case with Indiana, they don't collect a lot of tax at the pump, which you have to pay later. So, you are happy that you bought cheap (yeah right) fuel, but...

Nowhere near close to being the same. I did a comparison a few years back and I came out waaaay ahead with my sprinter at 26 MPG. Even with the price of diesel being higher, the initial investment being higher and the maintenance being higher, I still come out ahead. I think I posted here on eo...

Every company is different, but FedEx will allow a unit already in the fleet to remain as long as it looks good and does not break down a lot. They have to do a visual inspection on the unit every year.
