    Aversion to Dodges?

Last year for dodge vans was 2003. I have a 2000 with 420,000 and a 2001 with 218,000 and both still run fine. Door width was never a issue for me.

    Let The Bidding Begin

You always say you can find your own loads at panther so why do you have a truck on home time? Why not just load it yourself and get them home.

No. I have been at 50% dead head for over 5 years now and it works fine for me. All depends on how you run your business.

    Bottom Feeders!

yea you have to have it but you dont have to have it displayed on the side of your van. I got my authority in 2006, called the feds to see if I would have a new carrier check performed on me and they said no. I was informed that thy only reason for the authority was to make sure I maintained the...

Carrier Appearal Question; Removing Old Logos

I just pulled that up and read it. Some interesting comments include "Its not a career, its a lifestyle attitude is just an excuse for not running a profitable operation" and striking the term backhauls from his vocabulary. One should also note that Mr. Albert achieved this not only thru hard...

    Expedite Dispatch

I'm thinkin that someone with their own cargo van biddin on freight would have their own authority which would make them a carrier. I'm also thinkin that they realized if they cut people like you outta the picture they could bid a little lower and make more money than lettin you bid for them...

    Bad experience

Yes they should of had the parts with them, but it sounds more of a case where Panther said fix the van and we dont care what it costs and the van owner got screwed. This large bill was Panthers fault.

    Bad experience

I would have let her know real quick that I owned the van and she was not having it towed anywhere.

    How low will you go?

Maybe it was on their way home or they needed to get to that area for some reason. Two of the most popular reasons for hauling cheap freight while still claiming that you dont.

    Recruiting Manager

Actually when I first started I could not match the low rates that Panther was quoting shippers. Fedex is in the same area rate wise now since they wacked there vans down to .85 cpm. Its the larger carriers that are driving the rates into the ground.

2nd degree Veh. Homicide for improper lane change

I totally agree. If they cant do the speed limit they have no business being in the hammer lane holding up traffic.

    Recruiting Manager

I can stay as busy as I want and I also have a second business. It is fairly simple to do, get a van, get your insurance in order, get your authority and start selling your service to shippers. Once you have your authority you are a carrier so you need to think and act like a carrier. The...
