I don't remember the cost but I had the same thing happen to one of our sprinters. Again, I don't remember what had to be replaced but the "gum" got as hard as steal and froze up some major internal parts to the point they had to be replaced. Not sure it was 9K but it was over 5K.

FedEx has a set fuel surcharge for E units. The pay it on ALL dispatched miles so I guess it all works out since FCC is paying it even when their is no customer to bill it to.

Geo, I've got 2 sprinters with EGL and it seems all they do is make home deliveries. Its becomming difficult to find drivers to move TV's and book shelves for 35% of $11 a drop. I'd say 75% of their work is residential. Do you run into that at your EGL terminal?
