    Do you need more freight?

for 2 years my partner and I had a very successful business operating under our own authority. We were a member of GPS and TEANA and went to the meetings and made the contacts with all the right people. We had a gross income that made it look like we were getting rich. In reality we were...

    Where's my checkbook?!?!?!

that is actually the perfect setup for a company like Eagle Global or Pilot air where most of the runs are local but it would also allow you to take a "hot shot" and still have a place to take a nap while waiting for the plant to open. I like it.........

Is there any EGL recruiters here or drivers?

I own a few trucks that are not leased to EGL but are dedicated to them. I'd be happy to attempt to answer any questions you have.

the Panther post just went away also........ Careful folks, I got banned from this site for about a year because I posted true facts about a situation after trying for several weeks to work it out in private and they refused. This is not a message board, its a site for making money and the...

    question....

Wasn't he with Eagle out of the Detroit area? Not Eagle Global logistics but another company called Eagle? I had a truck on with Landstar and when we removed it from them my former driver didn't send in the last trips paperwork so I just knew my money was gone. A lady in the Landstar...

OK, Time for some real help

I wonder if the next step for FCC is that they will no longer make phone calls with load offers? I see the email to the phone as the 1st step in that direction. With over 1200 units I'm sure the phone calls take up alot of time when a C-link message would be much quicker.

    owner lease purchase

I'm a fleet owner and If I was in the market for a deal like this I would not hire this team simply because of their attitude. They want to be the boss and tell everyone how to do things but are not in the position to actually be the boss. Andy I could care less if you don't like what I say.....

need a PM from a Nations Express driver

I've waited 90 days and longer for money from Nations on loads that I've ran for them as an outside carrier so a few days late isn't bad at all from them. The best at paying their bills on time is FedEx, followed closely by Panther, Tristate and Express 1, the worst in my opinion is Nations...

Looking for an owner with a Sprinter.

My drivers get 45% on their com-Data card when they pick up (40% for vans I think) and that money is for them. They can buy fuel, hit the Wall-mart, do what ever they want to with it and when I get the settlement sheet every Thursday night I do the math and mail them the rest. I've never ran...

Looking for an owner with a Sprinter.

With the sprinters fuel milleage your better off taking the 60% and FSC and paying for your own fuel unless your planning to do ALOT of deadheading.....then the owner won't want you anyway. :)

pros and cons of leasing, renting commercial vehicl

RE: pros and cons of leasing, renting commercial ve i've leased a tractor for busy times and it cost $1700 per month plus $.08 per mile. that was a short term lease (almost like a rental car). If we had wanted to sign a 13 month lease it would have cost 1650 per month and .065 per mile. That...

    how do you guys survive?

I suspect your deadhead is over 50% so if you do the math you making less that the .77 you discuse. do you charge a FSC on top of your 1.25.

    just a driver

Frank, Can you give us a teaser as to why a driver paying for fuel and not just an owner / operator needs to either keep very good records or use a service like the one you offer for record keeping. We all see the ads directed at the owner / operator but I think a driver could benefit from the...
