    Paying for service or breakdowns

Fleet owners, how do you pay for things like breakdowns, service and flat tires when your trucks are on the road? Do you give them a Credit Card and trust they will use it wisely or what? Along those same lines, if a truck leased to FCC has a flat or other relatively small problem will FedEx...

only crap loads the last 2 weeks with panther

What do you think happened to the loads? Do you not think that if their was some grand conspiracy to keep you from getting good loads that they would take 30 extra seconds and see who they actually wanted to give the load to and not even call you? Loads cancel, that’s just the way it is...

    Rest area and straight trucks

In my 20 years as a trooper I never ran a truck out of the car area. Just park as far away as you can and don't get in the way. (Now if someone gives you a ticket don't come crying to me) Tickets should be written to save lives and property. Now I did run them off the sholder of roads...

    Landstar

i just took a truck from Landstar and put it with FCC because the driver didn't do well in the Landstar system. As someone else stated, its not a clear cut dispatch system like some of the others. I personally like the fact that if you take care of a brokers freight and customers they will try...

    Solo Driving

If you absolutely must be home every 14 days I'd have to say no, you can't make it in this business. If you must plan to be home every 2 weeks you may only get 1 week of work and the other week will be spent trying to get out of your home area or turning down good loads so your not too far from...

    slow start to the week.......

Best week my FedEx trucks have had since before Christmas. Alot depends on luck for a specific truck to have a good or bad week. A company can be having a very bad week, month, quarter or year and a single truck in the fleet can be doing great. Hang in there and give your comapany a month or...

    Kwhoppers versus Volvo

FedEc is paying $1.16 plus fuel for all dispatched miles in a tractor. When I say all dispatched miles I mean all......if they ask you to move from one side of the strret to the other or deadhead across the state they pay.
