Canada Panther & Getting paid in Canada

My question isn't about when or how much I'll get paid. I'm asking if I really have to deadhead 700 miles to turn in my paperwork so it gets to payroll Daniel Panther 12055

Canada Panther & Getting paid in Canada

Fellow Pantherians, I need your help, please. Tonight I turned down a load going into Saskatoon, Sask. Part of the reason for my decision is the way we have to turn in our paperwork to be paid. Unless I am mistaken, there are no scanning locations in Canada except for maybe the T/A in...

No doubt in my mind that the company knows exactly what they are doing. And I don't blame them one bit for trying to do things that benefit them. I just hope they are also considering how their decisions affect the operators who haul their freight. Daniel Panther 12055

To folow up on my own post.... If 2/3 of the work force is leaving, that means 50-100 drivers are added each week to replace the 30-60 who are leaving, again using the 2/3 theory. Maybe too literally, but still. That means there is the possibility that there are up to 40 ADDITIONAL drivers...

    Im lost

For what it's worth... At orientation 2 months ago, we were told that 32% of the people who go thru Panther orientation will remain with Panther after 12 months. While that seemed staggeringly low to me at the time, they are PROUD of this statistic, saying it is nearly twice the industry...

    Christmas Movies

"Scrooged" starring Bill Murray doesn't get as much attention as it should as far as Chistmas movies go. It's a remake of "A Christmas Carol", with Bill Murray playing Scroge. It's hilarious and an excellent rental for the holidays! Daniel Panther 12055

    Gifts for Expeditors

A shower card would be nice. Since my van doesn't hold 50 gallons of fuel, I can't get a free shower with a fuel purchase, so I have to buy all my showers. No, it's not a huge expense, but every little bit helps. I could have asked for an '07 Sprinter with the Midway Sleeper! Daniel Panther 12055

    DRIVER WINS AGAIN

Unless, of course, the town happens to be Omaha, then being the only one in town doesn't matter, as there are no loads. No, I'm not bitter...... Daniel Panther 12055

    Signs

I'm sure I'm not the first expeditor to notice this one: In Ionia,MI on 66 heading southbound, just before you reach I96, is this traffic sign: DO NOT PASS WHEN OPPOSING TRAFFIC IS PRESENT I guess if some drivers still need to be reminded not to stop on the RR tracks, then we must need this...

I've had a miserably slow two weeks, so I'm gonna blindly believe the QC message that claimed we were expecting to be busy Thanksgiving week, and I'm gonna run. Daniel Panther 12055

how can i get my B cdl without going to a trucking

RE: how can i get my B cdl without going to a truc If you know someone who has a CDL A or B you can rent a truck on test day. Your friend will have to drive you to the test site obviously, and the rental would have to be in his name. That is how I took my test. I had plenty of experience...

So that I can stay on topic

I propose we ban the USPS, then EVERYONE will have to use expeditors to get things delivered.....wait, the USPS doesn't do anything expeditiously.......I'll think of something. Daniel

If I was the only Expeditor !!!!

You gotta admit though, these message boards would be a lot less exciting for you Daniel

    Have you seen this expediter?

Boring white '04 Sprinter van, Panter #12055, big black cats on the side. Not a big fan of sitting at the truck stop/rest area/WalMart and talking to myself by myself, plus I have a lot to learn. Knock on the door, I'll get offline and grab some coffee with you Daniel
