    Amsoil in a Sprinter

Has anyone tried Amsoil in their Sprinter? If so, how many miles do you have on it?

    Oil changes

Here's the reason I do oil changes more frequent than the mfg recommends. I didn't start frequent changes till I had an engine that had to be rebuilt. When I pulled the engine on a van I owned several years ago I found the entire upper half of the engine had oil burnt and caked to the heads...

    Maintainence Question for Sprinter Owners!

According to my dealer, doing your own maintainence does not void your warranty. Just keep records so that you can prove you bought all the items to do it and what the mileage was at the time. Also you should make the entry into you owner's manual or maintainence book.

    Maintainence Question for Sprinter Owners!

I don't know if this is going to help but I will share what I have. I change my oil every 7500 miles instead of the 10k factory interval. I do my own upkeep. Oil is $6.00 per quart X 9.5 (Mobile 1 0-40 at Walmart) Oil filters $10 each (Fram). Very easy to change from the top of the engine. Air...

    Blood pressure problems

Hi Crazynuff I just had my physical also. I have never had high blood pressure but the machine in the clinic showed me with 159/99. I told the nurse I should just leave and have my family doctor check it. My doctor checked it a couple hours later and said it was 130/70 which is where it usually...

    Pre-Trip and Post-Trip

I just finished re-reading the HOS thread from a month or so back. I like to do my pre-trip inspection after I finish a load. In other words a post-trip and pre-trip at the same time so I'm ready to go when the next load comes in. I like to have the fuel tank full, oil checked or topped off...

    Opinions Please!!!!

On your way down to El Paso, will you take the senic route down through Cloudcroft and tell me how pretty it is? If you're in a cargo van, go south through the mountains, national forest, Timberon then on to the gravel roads into El Paso the backway. The beauty is worth it if you have some time...

    WI-FI service

The only way you can get a fair comparison is have both cards side by side or at least in the same parking lot. Lots of things effect speed such as wind, rain, clouds, heat ect. Also Cingular has three generations of technology out there. If you're in an area that supports EDGE you will get the...

    WI-FI service

I'm a heavy duty internet user. I use a Cingular air card. The coverage and speed are excellent. I agree with the other person you mentioned, I also use Flying J's WiFi service if I need to. I don't care for "Cingular" the company as far as customer service goes but I seldom use customer...

    Oil Pressure and Temp. guage

Can anyone tell me what the normal operating temperature is for the 8.3 Cummins engine in my FL70? The oil pressure runs around 60 psi when traveling at 60 mph, when I slow down to an idle it drops to around 20 psi is this normal? Kathy

    Need Class B CDL training

As I said before I took and passed the Class A test. Renting a box truck would not work for me. I needed an air brake endorsement. No one would let me rent a truck with air brakes without having the endorsement first. Hiring a local Class A trainer with a truck worked best for me.

    Folding Bunk Bed for Vans

Thanks for the feedback on it. I'm thinking of putting one in my Sprinter. The extra mounting supports on their website look pretty useless to me. I guess they would help in a travel trailer but not in vans like we have. What color did you get?

    Air Leak in the Cab?

Progress Report: Thanks mhoy40 and everyone else that helped me save a bunch of money on this repair! I pulled the dash instrument panel off today and found that I had two leaks. Both were at the back of the air gauges. Just as mhoy40 had said. I cut both off, went to Freightliner and got new...

    WI-FI service

Vipra, I tried the cell phone, cable and software method and found it painfully slow. Maybe cause I have several years of hard core computer programming experience, I guess I just expect more. The method also eats up your cell phone minutes, which if you have free nights and weekends or...

    WI-FI service

MRSNAPPY Assuming you have Windows XP. When the Flying J connection is active you should have a small picture of a computer on the lower right corner of the screen. Place your mouse pointer on it and click. A "Wireless Network Connection" screen should pop up. Click on the button that says "View...
