It's funny how the conservatives threw their "conservative values" right out the window this election. When I think of a president with true conservative values someone like Reagan comes to mind. The Donald is no where close to Reagan. Someone like Ronald Reagan would never have a reality tv show. I can't figure out what Trump is besides a bafoon. From what I can tell so far is that the only thing Donald Trump cares about is Donald Trump. I'm not saying any of you should vote for Hillary either. In fact I'm considering not voting for the first time in my life. This can't be the best we can do. It's like a bad dream. Some of us don't like JWB and some don't like Obama. Trust me, you haven't seen nothin yet. I'm moving to New Zealand.

The only Republican on the ballot that was even worth a :censoredsign: barely even got any votes. I don't get how people can support him. He doesn't even offer any solutions, he just says "im going to do this" or "im going to do that" but doesn't explain how he is going to achieve said goal. And when questioned about it, he just gives some answer like, " oh yes I will do that, because im leader and I lead. Its what I do." And people just accept it.

To me it's insane. i can't figure out how ppl can listen to him speak then say "I'm voting for that guy, he should be our president" he basically says nothing, then when he stops talking ppl cheer for him. Its kinda sad actually.

There will be two candidates for POTUS: Trump and Hillary. Those are the choices. It's evident that there won't be a 3d party conservative candidate. In spite of Bernie's rabid following of college kids and freeloaders, his carcass is apt to be found in Ft. Marcy Park if he attempts a 3d party effort.;)

It appears that many in the GOP establishment would be satisfied with a Clinton presidency just so they could maintain their current status for the likely four years of Hillary. After that they'll be able to offer another milquetoast moderate in the tradition of Dole, McCain & Romney. For those who would follow the lead of these establishment GOP figureheads and stay home on election day, consider some of the probable consequences of a Clinton presidency:
  • She will have at least two Supreme Court appointments; say goodbye to the 2d amendment and portions of the 1st. They will establish socialism as our governing philosophy for the next two generations.
  • Her weakness and incompetence in foreign relations will likely result in the next world war, thanks in part to Obama's nuclear Iran deal
  • The balkanization of our culture will be exacerbated by an open-door immigration policy for anyone from anywhere - no questions asked.
  • Another serious recession will be inevitable as American businesses will continue to be taxed at the highest rates in the world, and the record national debt finally overwhelms our economy.
  • HillaryCare: a single-payer health care system will become reality after ObamaCare implodes.
  • If you think the Veterans Administration is bad now, wait until Hillary's administration is running it.
All of the above is of course my opinion based on her public record, which is lengthy and well-documented. Conservatives and Republicans everywhere need to face the fact that they had better stop tearing down Trump and turn these efforts toward Hillary. Trashing him at this point is counter-productive: he's the winner, get over it. Hold your nose and VOTE!

  • I suggest you brush up on what the second amendment actually says in its entirety. Im sure you think its as simple as "the right to bear arms", but there is much more to it than that. It doesn't mean every person can replace their human arms with ones from a bear. Ok, have fun googling. ;)

So youre a big constitution humper, but you support someone who wants to ban people from this county based solely on their religious beliefs? If you don't see the hypocrisy in that, well.....nevermind, ill be nice.

You realize the current recession was caused by deregulation and lack of oversight in the banking industry, right? It has absolutely nothing to do with anything you just said.

Ok, let the Mike bashing begin! :D

We have 3 choices on immigration and visitors. One is to just let anyone and everyone in without prejudice or consideration. Another is to shutdown immigration and visitation from specific groups.particularly those who pose a possible serious threat, like the ones who have openly declared they will do us harm. And the third is to shut down any and all immigration and visitation from everyone, without prejudice or consideration.

As Muslims are the ones who have loudly declared a jihad against the US and its citizens, the alternative to the temporary banning of Muslim immigrants and visitors until we can determine their intentions, would be what? Pick one.

Crickets.lol. I don't want to answer that either. :D On a side note, might have been a easier sell to ban specific groups from these countries until we get a better system. Spend way to much time worrying about "feelings"
When someone says "ban Muslims", they all go nuts.

The entire Muslim religion has not "openly declared to do us harm." I love how people take fringe elements of something and blame the entire group.

No one is calling for a permanent ban, but until you can identify the ones that are a threat verses ones that aren't, you can't be letting them in. Only common sense of the fool would let them in and then figure out who is going to be causing harm. Have to get that figured out first.
Additionally, out of the ones that opening threaten us, how would you tell the ones who would be a threat verses the ones that are not?

How do you sort out the ones who would do us harm from the ones who won't?

If a bunch of redheaded women posted online that whenever they see you they will be kicking you in the nuts, I guarantee you will be wary of redheads and will avoid letting any of them near you, unless and until you can determine their intentions. Same thing with Muslims.

There already are strict background checks in place for anyone wanting to become a citizen. Im not saying I have a perfect answer either, but I find it a little bit hypocritical when people pick and choose what they want to stick to in the constitution. They will have no problem ignoring the constitution when it comes to muslims, but other situations ( i.e. gun control ) they want to preach real hard about the second amendment. The argument your making about banning muslims can be made for gun control also. Look at all the gun violence in this country, but do the right wingers want to ban guns? No, because they believe it to be unconstitutional. Just like banning someone from the county based on their religious.

**DISCLAIMER** I do not support a sweeping ban on guns. Im not even about to open that can of worms, I was just using it as a comparison.

Oh, and for your redhead analogy. If there were a SMALL group of redheaded women kicking guys in the nuts, no I would not be weary of redhead women I see, because I don't buy into fear mongering. Plus I love redheads, so they can get near my nuts all day long. ;) The thing is, you guys are doing exactly what the terrorists want by adopting that attitude. They want to create an enormous rift between the U.S. and the entire muslim religion, because when that happens more muslims are going to feel persecuted against and that makes them easier for the terrorists to manipulate and radicalize. Anyways, I shouldn't have even posted, I hate getting involved in political bickering.

Not quite. No one is saying ban all Muslims. They are saying refugees that can not be properly vetted. One is not the same as the other. As for strict background checks, you are kidding right? Government has already stated they can't vet them properly.

What I realize is that you don't know what you're talking about. "Current recession"? To what "current recession" do you refer? The Great Recession that started in 2007 officially ended in June 2009 - ask anyone in the Obama administration. The next recession will have nothing to do with the sub-prime lending crash in '07. While you're brushing up on Econ 101 be sure to check out what the impact on our economy will be when interest rates eventually rise to normal levels and the service on our national debt (which now exceeds GDP) skyrockets.
