This Might Just be Wishful Thinking

Hey Jimmy it seems like it has been awhile since you posted, hopefully you have been driving to much.

I think as time has gone on party leaders have gone hard left or right and left the middle to vote for what is there. It is the voters that are to one extreme or the other that get the political parties fired up and get the campaign moving. In general the Democratic and Republican parties of today are not the same as even 20 years ago, they picked an extreme and went with it knowing the middle of the road voters won't bother voting at all or will still vote for one of them.

Yes sir, I just eased back from posting so much, seemed like a good idea. I wish work was the reason I have slowed down on posting, unfortunately not. Though the dealership I drive for has received orders for new trucks from two different trucking companies in the last two months.

I think we need more independent minded voters .

Well truck orders have been on the rise so that is a good sign.

The independent voters need to get involved in the campaign and take over.

the scariest thing I read was this -

The Nobel Prize-winning economist John Forbes Nash (the subject of the book and movie "A Beautiful Mind") was all about duopolies. He showed that two powerful competitors frequently end up locked in a stable, mutually beneficial dance of tit-for-tat—they collude, in short, to carve up a captive market.

This is what I have been saying, there isn't much if any difference between a republican or democrat, conservative or liberal at this point in time in our history. They seem to all stand for the same thing and it is rather sad that many will try to defend the opposite when it is too clear to the rest of the world.

Two sides of the same coin. The only difference between them is the avenues they want to take to get to the same place.

I don't know where you think the Republicans are extreme to the right. We had an all-Republican show in the 2000s, and they did nothing but spout liberal policies.

Well the Republicans are trying to get everyone fired up by how conservative they are but they just keep spending.

Exactly! There's only one extreme in politics. The other is just wishful thinking on our part (conservatives).
