Hi Everyone,

John and I just returned from the ExpeditersOnline.com University last week where we had awesome attendance.  The numbers were already high, then On Time Media pulled in 2 local TV stations to cover the event, which spurred some last minute local attendees as well.

Why is that important to you?  I know a number of you are ready to spread your wings from one unit to add a second, hoping for a third, etc.  If you can swing a new unit, then you're going to need drivers.  When I talk with the attendees who can't afford a truck of their own, I suggest they start as a Driver for a Fleet Owner...potentially YOU.

The topics covered at the event included Truck Specification Assessment and Business/Financial Essentials by Heath Wood and John LaLonde, respectively.

Jenny and Nick Marcu kicked off the seminars with an extremely well presented hour summary of the do's and dont's in the life of an Owner Operator with some astute questions from the audience that Jen and Nick deftly answered.

After the complimentary appetizers, my presentation on the Fundamentals of Insurance was rife with technical problems with the additional challenge that 8:40 at night is just too darned late for Shelly to give a presentation given I'm usually in bed by 9:00! LOL

I encourage anyone to mark their calendars for the next EO U event for Thursday, May 17th in Monroe Michigan at the Quality Inn and Suites, 1225 N Dixie Highway.

For anyone looking to learn more about our industry, or to expand our Expediting Community with Drivers anxious to get on the road...it's a happy hunting ground for any of YOU out there looking to expand to Fleet Owner status.

Warm Regards,
