Know What You're Worth at Expedite Expo

 

Hi Everyone,

John and I spent the last few days in New Orleans for the TEANA conference.   (TEANA is The Expedite Association of N. America) The annual conference is where Expedite Motor Carriers gather at a hotel to expand trade partnerships to grow business and to learn and discuss legislative issues affecting our industry.   (Of course, at night it’s all about good times!)

New Orleans was hot and steamy as to be expected in July, so we’re all looking forward to the more comfortable temperatures in Wilmington, Ohio for the Expedite Expo July 27th and 28th.

For anyone not familiar with the Expo, it is the place to be for Owner Operators, Motor Carriers and anyone affiliated with the Expediting Community.   It consists of a 2 day trade show with exhibits, workshops, seminars, contests, giveaways and Casino Night.

While the TEANA Conference and the Expo appear to be different types of venues, here’s where they’re both the same:

It’s all about “Know What You’re Worth”.

When Motor Carriers get together at TEANA, they talk about how to expand and grow their business models in brokering and sharing loads with one another. They talk about who is doing what for who, so essentially they learn who is worth what.

When Owner Operators participate at the Expedite Expo, this is the time drivers can learn what they’re worth by expanding and growing their small business models.   This is the Owner Operator’s opportunity to assess what various Motor Carriers can bring to the table.  Are there other opportunities you could be missing out there by not fully networking in our Expediting Community?  

If you’re happy where you are now, expand and solidify your relationship with your Motor Carrier by bringing along a friend who could be interested in Expediting…it’ll go a long way in loyalty to your Recruiter of choice and can only improve your security as a team player.

Take the time to talk with various vendors to explore areas to improve your vehicle performance and operations and maximize your profits.   The Expedite Expo is your opportunity as a successful small business owner to stay on the cutting edge of changes and trends within our industry.

The most successful Motor Carriers always attend the TEANA conference, and the most successful Owner Operators always attend the Expo.   They understand they need to be the 1st to See, Understand and Act in changing times.   

It’s also how to always “Know What You’re Worth”.
