It's a Team's Life

Waiting to go HOME

We make the decision on how long we want to stay out on the road.   Each year we stay out a long time before Thanksgiving as we know we will only be out a short time before we once again come home for Christmas.   Then we are home before very long as we have to get our taxes prepared to send in and then it is time for the Louisville Truck show in March!   Seems like for about 4 months we hardly work at all before we have to be someplace for another commitment.

Staying out for 2 ½ months is about our limit and as the time gets closer and closer to pointing our nose homeward bound we get antsy.   The further we are from home the worse this can get.   Right now we are 1500 miles from the house which we know we can be home in about a day and a half but we would like to get a load a lot closer.   The miles seem to go by better when you are being paid to drive. Normally days fly by in the truck but right now time moves slowly!
