Over the years we have fielded questions ranging from how to fuel the truck, where truck stops are located, to how to organize closets, and what to load in the sleeper.

Some drivers contact us before they start in the business asking basic questions about either becoming drivers or becoming owner operators.   We get questions from drivers that are with over the road carriers that are considering expediting and these are some of the hardest questions to field.   They look at the miles we run and the miles they run and they think SWEET we can make more then them as we are going to run harder....   Trying to explain that it is not usually a case of running harder it is being able to accept loads that are profitable and being ready to run immediately.   We are usually in a hurry up and wait mode or like the tortoise and the hare, we are the hare, as we do not run steady.

We get questions after someone has purchased a truck or becomes a driver for a fleet owner on ways to organize their truck, places to sit and wait, or ways to get better fuel mileage.   Each of the questions is answered seriously with the caveat that this is our opinion and there are many other opinions.  Research and network to apply knowledge learned to your operation.

Sometime we get one question and the person moves on and in others a friendship will develop and in time we find we ask them questions.   Over the years we have had many of these special relationships and we cherish each and everyone.   We get as much joy as a parent would as we watch them take their first step or learn to drive.   As a parent we are still in the background if they need a word of advice or a little encouragement.

What is even more amazing is when the friends we have worked with start mentoring on their own.   It is always a case of pay it forward.   We can share what has worked for us or what has not and hope if it will save someone else either the hassle or will help him or her to succeed.
