Truck Stop Showers oh no!

The questions I have been asked over the years about showers, tubs, sunken tubs, group showers, and how to stay clean often cause me to chuckle!

All of the major truck stops, most of the smaller truck stops, and a few of the very small truck stop have private showers.  Some even have tubs in them that are very nice, but not as common.

Most shower rooms consist of a sink with small counter space, a toilet, and a shower.  Some have hair dryers, bench in the shower, a corner shelf for toiletries, and some have a wall-mounted fan.  Most showers provide a small new bar of soap while others have a soap dispenser. They all provide towels and wash clothes and will give me an extra towel if I ask for one.

Overall in my observations the showers are clean with very few exceptions.  Even though the showers look clean I always wear shower shoes, which is a personal choice.  Many drivers do not wear shower shoes and have no problems.

As a team we can get an extra shower without having to pay for it.   We take the shower ticket to the convenience store counter and they will give us another shower coupon.   Many teams shower together and do not worry about it.   To shower together or not is a personal choice.
