Throwing yourself at life

As I was talking to Henry Albert about all I had going on and trying to stay organized I asked him why in the world do I just not say NO? Why do so many things sound like great fun and I know Bob and I will enjoy participating in them. I know that many of the things I say yes to will involve a lot of my time and that cuts into my free time.  I have other things I like to do for me such as exercise and crochet, but often my fun things get put on the back burner so I can work on my pet projects.  Henry Albert said, "Linda, you like to throw yourself at life and then work on what comes back to you." Henry went on to say, "It is kind of like throwing a ball at a wall, the harder you throw the harder it comes back, it is important to decide how you throw the ball at the wall as this determines how the ball will come back to you," and I thought wow that make sense.  I enjoy getting involved and I enjoy the many projects I do and meeting the people that come along with the project.  Not all of what I get involved with us a joy ride but I can say this I sure have met a lot of neat people such as Henry Albert by just saying "Yes" I like that idea and "Yes" I would like to become involved.
