Team Run Smart Pro's
The four Pro's selected to join Henry Albert represent not
only different segments of the trucking industry, they represent different
regions of the country.
The Pro's have
many responsibilities and the others were not given a "free" truck
that did not come with strings attached.
Some of the responsibilities include writing blogs, attending trucks
shows, working with Freightliner dealers, and attending dealer open houses.
Henry Albert has been involved in trucking since 1983 and has been operating on his own authority since 1996. He started his trucking career in a straight truck and transitioned into flat bed. In 2007 he was selected as Overdrives Driver of the Year. Henry's specialty is fuel mileage and professional appearance linked with customer service. Henry is the senior member of the group and we will all value his guidance. Henry resides in Statesville, NC.
Jeff Clark is from the Kewaunee, WI area and pulls a dry van specializing in paper products. Jeff has the best of both worlds his normal route takes him from Wisconsin to Georgia, he is heavy one way and loaded lightly the other. Jeff is a marathon runner and is becoming an avid bike rider. He is knowledgeable about the trucking industry and is always in tune with new regulations.
Joey Slaughter has his own authority and is our resident car
hauler.
Joey has been involved in the
trucking industry for the past 21 years.
He will be fun to follow, as he will be driving a 2010 Cascadia, which
is very aerodynamic pulling a very UN aerodynamic trailer.
Joey is from the beautiful state of Virginia
with his home being in Ringgold. Joey is almost as quiet as Bob, when Joey or
Bob talk we all stop and listen.
Jimmy Nevarez runs his operation on the west side of the
United States.
He is an independent
contractor leased to Knight Transportation.
He is called the "Kid" of the group due to his youthful
appearance. His operation involves driving in a lot of stop and go California traffic.
Jimmy has been in trucking for the past eleven
years and his background involved pulling pneumatic doubles in California.
Jimmy is from Yorba Linda, CA. Jimmy is high energy and goes like a house afire and is always ready for a new challenge. Jimmy will keep all of us on our toes.
Bob and I are considered a force of one! We will be using our truck, which works out very well considering we have a 2012 Cascadia. Look for us working with the other Pro's in the Freightliner Booth at MATS and also in the Papa Johns Parking lot, and at various shows around the country. We can also be followed on our Team Run Smart blog, which will be located on the Team Run Smart web site.
The Expediters Online website and the Team Run Smart website I believe will compliment each other with the knowledge gained here with expediters and the truck knowledge to be gained on Team Run Smart!
