Not having a truck is getting old and I hope our sojourn is almost over. After the Walcott Jamboree and the Expedite Expo, our truck went back to Wabash to have the box painted and a few liftgate repairs.

When we picked up our truck, there were a few things that needed to be tweaked, e-track, liftgate, and freight box panels. I am glad to say getting to drive the new Cascadia out to Walcott was terrific, and the Cascadia ran like a charm. As I have videoed earlier, I am still struggling with where to put everything in the ARI Sleeper, and that dilemma is not over.

While at the Expedite Expo, several people gave me a lot of ideas to organize the ARI Sleeper:

            Storage

            Decorating

            Containers to use

The Cascadia has been picked up from Wabash in Goshen, IN and it looks fantastic! It is a story like the perfect storm on why this build took so long, but finally, it is complete, and everything looks incredible. We now have the truck home, and Bob is adding toolboxes and also another panel that will cover the generator.  He is hoping to have as much as possible completed before we try and run a couple of loads before going to GATS.

We have a few more things to get done this summer before we hit the roads full time hauling freight in September. Our truck is entered in Pride & Polish at the Great American Trucking Show (GATS) in late August, and we will be working in the Freightliner Team Run Smart booth.

After GATS we head back home, Saint Louis to pick up the Western Star Truck of Dale Coyne Racing and then we have one more IndyCar race and possibly a second one in California and then the racing season will be done for the year.

All I can say is what a tumultuous year this has been, we are surviving, and we have had several great adventures. Take lemons and turn them into lemonade.
