If you go head west from the Jubitz you will find bike/walking trails going in all directions.   One path goes along the Columbia River with a great view of the floating houses.   While I am walking I have time to imagine trying to live on a floating house.   What happens when a big boat goes by?   What a pain to have to climb all those steps to take the trash out, pickup the mail, and to haul your groceries in.   What about moving all of your furniture up and down those stairs!  After you go a couple miles the path veers off the river and you go by wetlands with a park attached with an area for canoes.   We rode our bikes around this area and I hope I will get a chance to walk down by the pond next time we are in the area.  There are also several paths that we did not have time to try so I hope I can do a lot more walking here next time.  If you ever get to the Jubitz give these paths a try as they are well maintained!
