Looking back at 2012!
Some of our highlights during 2012 were calm while others were a rush of exhilaration. We look back on 2012 as a year where we were able to experience a lot of amazing moments in trucking and in our personal lives.
1. Movin' Out Publication
I started writing an article called Line 1 Adventures featuring interesting sites we see while on our travel.
2. Incident
We
were involved in an accident that involved us being rear-ended that
created a $27,000 bill and having our truck
out of service for almost 6 weeks.
We
were one of the chase vehicles involved in this 3000-mile race from San Diego
to Annapolis, Maryland with an eight-man bike team.
This trek took us 6 days and eighteen
hours
while our flight back took about six hours.
4. 4-Star Safety Award
We qualified for FedEx Custom Critical Safety Award 4-Star that was held at Disney World. This was our first time to Disney World and those that know me know that I am a Disney freak and this was an awesome trip.
5. Great America Truck Show (GATS)We entered our truck and sleeper in the Pride and Polish Truck Show and took first in both divisions.
6. NASTC - National Association of Small Trucking Companies
Linda
was selected as one of the 12 drivers of the year
7. Overdrive Magazine
We were on the cover of the magazine featuring Expediting
8. Coke Machine - Golfer Brandt Snedeker
We picked up a antique Golf Machine and delivered it to the Brandt Snedeker's home.
9. Acrobatic Airplane
Finally getting to experience what it is like to perform loops, hammer heads, eight point rolls, and the best flying inverted while doing a flat spin!
