It FEELS like Midnight
Luckily as team drivers, Bob and I have totally different sleep patterns. As the sun goes down so do I and if I look outside and I see that it is dark I tend to get a little dramatic over the perceived time.
With a struggle, I can and sometimes do stay up later but it has to be for something special. By later I mean a late-night is 8:00 and a REALLY late night is 10:00 pm and then I am done. The problem is I enjoy getting up early and having a peaceful start to my day. A little coffee and work on the computer or my cross-stitch while watching the sun come up is a perfect start to the day.
When the night has crept in and I notice it I have told Bob at least a million times “ It has to be almost MIDNIGHT, I am going to bed IT IS PAST MY BEDTIME”. Then Bob will come back with an exasperated look and tell me how early it really is in his mind. The reverse is true in the morning when it is still dark out and if he wakes up and asks the time, my reply is the day is half gone! Time to rise and shine and he then gives me a look and rolls over and goes back to sleep. Yep match made in heaven.
