The decision had been made to not spend the Thanksgiving holiday sitting in a truck stop while being close to family.   We spent a delightful day with family catching up on lives, eating, and playing dominoes.

The phone rang with a load offer that had me smiling within seconds; pickup in Saint Louis on Monday and to make the load even better, the pay was acceptable.   This gave us time to spend Thanksgiving with family AND head for our house with an unexpected day and a half before leaving to stage for our pickup.

It is unbelievable how these unexpected surprises will give a boost to our morale.

As always when we arrive home we bring in our laundry and is it ever so nice to not have to use a public laundry room.   Next it is time to lookover and sort the mail, some goes to the trash, magazines to the truck, and some mail gets filed.   Once the laundry is started and the mail has been sorted it is time to have some fun.

Bob heads to the shop and I head to the gym with my daughter to attend a Zumba class.   I am not able to attend enough classes to learn the songs and all of the moves, but I do follow along and enjoy myself.   On Sunday before we where to leave a friend asked if I wanted to go ride horses with her and a few friends in the national forest by our house.   Riding horses is always something I enjoy doing and one of the pleasures I gave up for a life on the road.

Before we knew it we were packing the truck with groceries, clean laundry, and a few Christmas decorations.   We plan on spending Christmas at home and we are not over packing the truck.   We are refreshed and ready to drive whichever way the loads take us.
