We were also informed that the cookie delivery would be taking place around Bismarck, ND.  For some reason Bismarck, ND in the winter did not sound like the ultimate job to us, but the challenge of this project was enough to spark our imagination.  We quickly accepted the load and took off for Bismarck.  As we got closer we realized the snow was getting deeper and deeper alongside the road.  The weather was cold, clear and no wind which was a bonus. We figured out the first day we had our work cut out for us.  The snow banks made the streets even narrower than normal and trying to maneuver the back of the truck into the drive way made each delivery tricky.  We needed to try and get into the driveway with the lift gate as the snow was trying to melt and many driveways had a lake at the end of the driveway next to the road.  Some of these leaders had over achievers selling cookies as lady received 13 skids of cookies which was more then 1700 boxes. Her garage had skids of cookies everywhere and we to make two trips to bring them all.  Today we were backing up to a driveway and the truck slid to the side and was promptly stuck!  We had to get the chains out and chain up to get the truck maneuvered to where we could make the delivery.  We had to uncrate some of the cookies and carry them case by case into an area that the skid would not fit.  Over all we got one heck of a workout and met some really nice ladies. Change like this makes our jobs interesting as we never know what the next day is going to bring!
