It's a Team's Life

Expediting Might Not Be for You

While expediting sounds too good to be true it is for many.  There are solo drivers that do well out here but to be able to take advantage of the most opportunities it takes team drivers.  One of the famous sayings in expediting; “it is hard to plan an emergency” and with most loads we go where the wind blows us.

If you need a steady income each week

Income is often volatile and much easier to figure on a monthly basis

If you need to be home each night or weekly

Some expediters get home once a month others are gone for months at a time

If you cannot sit and wait

Expediting is all about the income and not the miles

If you are not comfortable running at night

Loads are usually offered in the afternoon with a morning delivery.

If you cannot drop everything and be ready to drive across the country

At a moments notice as a team, we need to be ready to run ten or 3000 miles

If you do not like solving problems

Many of our loads require us to load and unload the truck and often without a dock

Expediting if fun and exciting as we usually do not know what we will be hauling from one day to the next.  We do not know which direction we will go until we accept a load and drive off.   While expediting is perfect for a few it can be a nightmare for others.
