Enjoying the ride
As a driver we have plenty of time to think and I started thinking about a crazy turbulent commercial airline ride I had several years ago flying into Dallas, TX. The jet had to descend through a severe thunderstorm and we were all told to fasten our seat belts as we were in for a wild ride!
The pilot was not kidding as I compared that ride to one of my best roller coaster experiences I had ever been on, as there were no tracks to see which way we would turn next. It was a blast, seeing the inside of those clouds as we zoomed through, losing and gaining altitude constantly, I was exhilarated.
That airline ride has helped me over the years to trust, hang on, and enjoy the experience. We can fight and worry about what is happening knowing full well we cannot change our current circumstances only our futures. Staying positive, having a 360-degree view, and staying on top of what is happening in our lives keeps us on a positive track. Sometimes it takes a good friend our family member to give us a little nudge to get back where we need to be, but we never veer off very far.
Our business and expediting reminds of that plane ride at
times.
We have learned to take the highs
as they come and to endure the lows as they happen.
The one thing we have learned is to trust, as
I did that pilot to get us to the ground safely.
We have laid the groundwork for our business
and ourselves to succeed now and in the future.
