Bob and I have many areas of interest we share and we also have our own tastes.   Bob enjoys truck maintenance technical items that bore me to tears and I enjoy self help and better accounting practices that bore him to tears.   We both enjoy reading trucking magazines, talking to fellow drivers, and listening to the trucking talk shows.   We also attend trucking seminars throughout the year and attend at least two truck shows a year.   We try to stay abreast of new equipment coming out and what will make our truck run more proficient and what will help to make our lives easier on the road.   We really enjoy talking to other drivers in every area of trucking on how they maintain their business and their truck.   We have met some awesome people this way that have enriched our lives and our life out here on the road.   We have found people more than willing to discuss how they secure freight, how they use their lift gates for safety to the public and themselves, how to talk with a difficult customer, and how to decide where to layover, this list could go on and on.   We have found that staying involved with all areas of trucking keeps us in touch with the what freight rates are doing, what fuel prices are doing, what kinds of fuel mileage people are getting, and where the best areas of the country are best for freight.   Bob and I both have a thirst for more knowledge and the more we learn the more we seem to want to learn.
