Discombobulated

First off I like this word and it always makes me smile when I say it or even think it.   When that smile happens I am on the way to solving my discombobulating around and getting nothing accomplished.

What happens when we get in a funk and there is a lot to get done?   Lately my head has been going in a million different directions and as the result I am not getting anything done.

Usually focusing is not a problem and without much effort it is easy to go from one project to another and mentally check the project off as completed.   Each day flows from one project to another from driving all day to sitting all day.    Each day is taken as it is presented.

Every once in awhile so many activities are happening I find myself not able to get anything done.   I start a project and then move to another project before completing the first project and by the end of the day nothing is done and I am discombobulated.

How to get over this feeling?   Sometimes it means taking a break and stepping away from everything and going for a walk.    Other times that is not an option and a solution must be found.   Each of us has to find the solution that works for us and mine is to stop, prioritize and turn off the phone.   It also helps me to make lists and as I start checking things off of my list I am good to go.

So for now I am going to say good-by to being discombobulated and move on.
