Christmas Parade with FedEx Truck

Taking time for family!   We are from a very small town in Southwest Kansas and Bob’s mom and stepdad still live there.   Whenever we get close   we head their way but we very seldom lucky enough to get close.   We delivered in Wichita KS on a Friday and had a load that picked up on Monday so we headed out for the weekend.    Bob had lived there most of his life and I lived in Elkhart for over 20 years   so we have lots of wonderful ties to this small town.   When we drop in to Elkhart we always feel so at home and welcomed by everyone.   People we used to work with, people we went to school with, and also friends of our kids who are still in the area.   We really struck gold on this trip though as our former employer was holding their annual Christmas Party and we they were kind enough to invite us so we attended the party and really enjoyed the evening.   The next day was the Christmas Parade and we entered our truck with the help of Bob’s mom and stepdad.   We really had a great time gave several people tours of the truck while we were waiting for the parade to start and also answered a lot of questions on FedEx Custom Critical and expedite freight!   We always have fun with all of the questions we get on our truck and also all of the questions on expediting. We ended up getting third in the parade and better then that we have we have lots of good memories of how much fun we had.   We are always amazed at how often we are able to do really fun things with our truck and share what all we do for a living!
