Autonomous Trucks In Ohio

Be on the lookout starting mid-February 2023 you will start to see autonomous trucks running in Ohio.  The two autonomous trucks will be running on a thirty-five mile stretch of US 33 from Dublin to East Liberty, as The Ohio Department of Transportation will be continuing to study the feasibility of autonomous trucks running in Ohio.

The reason for the use of US 33 is that the two trucks were tested at the Transportation Research Center in East Liberty.  The two trucks will run in tandem nose to tail with the truck following will mirror the leading truck.

Ohio is also working on build a autonomous truck lane on Interstate 70 between Columbus and Indianapolis, IN.  It is a four-year project that started in late 2020.

Just a FYI to be on the lookout.  Will be interesting if anyone will capture pictures of the two running up and down US 33.
