Wednesday November 20th 3:00 EST the Trucking Solutions Group will host a conference call with ATdynamics.   The call will last approximately one hour with participants able to ask questions of the Trailer Tail panelists or only listen in to the information given.

Henry Albert will be on the call and he has seen a solid 6% gain and we have seen a 3% gain in the past four months.  Waiting to see what the numbers will do with winter fuel.  The Tail is advertised to make a 6 to 6.5% change in fuel mileage at 65 MPH which is closer to what Henry runs at 62 so he is seeing the 6%, we run at 58 mph so ours is at 3%.   The slower we go the less aerodynamics matter

This past weekend we ran into some really bad side winds across New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and into Missouri and our fuel numbers backed up what we had a hard time believing last time we got into the wind this bad.

The truck was being hit with a solid side wind, light load, and our pusher axle raised.   We ran 1145 miles before fueling and got a 13.000-MPG fill and expect a high 12 or another 13 when we fuel next.

Now that we have the ATdynamics Trailer Tail and our skirts we are often asked how the wind affects us and both of us believe it is better.   The wind does not seem too able to get under the truck as easy and the wind slides off of the Trailer Tail.   While the wind is hitting us we are better able to control the truck and stay in our lane. Now that is our unscientific theory on how we both feel driving the truck since the improvements.

We are happy with our fuel numbers and look forward to spending less on fuel this winter.
