Our yearly trip is over. It was one of the best ones that we have had yet. We all got along great, since there were some additions, and subtractions from our group. Everyone finally arrived by 7 pm Friday night. We got camp all set up and started making dinner. Grilled chicken quarters, grilled butternut squash and dutch over apples. After dinner was finished and we all relaxed a bit it was time for the traditional midnight float. Though we noticed, as we are getting older in age, the midnight float is more like the 10 pm float.

Saturday morning everyone was awoken to the smell of bacon, sausage, french toast, scrammbled eggs, and pancakes, as I made my meal of the day. We finally hopped in the river at about noon. We floated down the river in our boat. Stopped into some of the beautiful springs and swam quite a bit. When we got back to camp it was time for a nap, while the others ran into town to get the shrimp for the low country bowl that we were having for dinner. After that it was time to make some smores and sit around the fire and talk. Lots of funny stories to hear. About midnight we went down the the spring known as Devil's eye and went for a swim. It seemed a bit cold, but it was only because the sun was not out.

Sunday morning, again I got up and made breakfast for everyone. We hit the river earlier, since most people wanted to leave around 3. This time we took some video of Nick swimming down into the cracks of the caves inside of the springs. When we got back to camp it was unfortunately time to pack it up, go shower, and say goodbye to Ginnie for another year.

We are back in service, and in Jackson, GA right now, waiting for a load. Hoping to stay out until after Thanksgiving, other than getting my license renewed. Got to save money for Christmas and our cruise!
