Things that I have learned about myself

When I came out on the road I was 23 years old. I had barely ever been out of Michigan. I have learned so much being out here about the country, myself, and the relationships that I have.

I have learned that I am stronger than I thought that I was. That I can do many things that I didnt think that I could do. I have learned that I have the answers to many things that I question, if I look deep down inside. I have learned that I dont need to rely on other people to help me, that I can do it on myself, most of the time. I have also learned not to be afraid to ask for the help that we all need sometimes. I learned what its like to get a second chance. I could have lost everything, including my life last year. I was fortunate enough to have a strong support system behind me.

I have learned to love. I have spent every day of my life from June 21, 2008 through today with my husband, except for 5. Those were the 5 harderst days, and it was only 8 months into us even dating. I have learned how to care for someone as much as I do myself.

I have learned my way across the country. I will be the first person to admit I am completely illeterate to directions. I can follow signs, roads but don't try and tell me how to go let me figure it out and ask you. My parents can tell you that when I first got my license, I was at Sears in Lansing, MI, and had never been on that side of the store before. I called my mom bawling asking how to get home, and that I was at the "other" Sears. There is only one....

These are just a few of the many things that I have learned over the last few years, and continue to learn new things everyday.
