Fuel for Thought
The year to come
There are quite a few things that we are looking forward to this year. We are trying to set a lot of attainable goals for ourselves. One of the many things that we always look forward to is the Expedite Expo. We like to be able to spend time with people that are in our industry, and gain knowledge from others. This year we are also going to be participating in the Expediters Online University workshops that are put on through various parts of the country. Another big event is going to be the Mid America Truck Show. Last year we were unable to attend, but are hoping to do so this year. There is not a lot of things there specifically for vans, but there is a lot of new and interesting stuff that is put out there, as well as the parking lot barbeques.
Outside of the expedite world we are looking forward to taking our yearly camping trip with friends. We also booked another vacation for next January, in which we will be traveling the Western Caribbean. One of the new things that we are going to try while we are there is scuba diving, which I am REALLY excited about. We are saving money for this trip, as well as some of our financial goals that we set for ourselves.
The personal weight loss and fitness goals that we set for ourselves are starting to come into view. I was more than ecstatic when I weighed myself today and noted that I was down a few pounds. Analyzing the foods more closely, that we eat while we were out, has really opened our eyes. We have also noticed a bit of savings as well.
We are looking forward to spending more time with friends and family this year. As we are increasing our financial stability for things in our future, it gives us a bit more freedom to take an extra weekend off to spend time with them.
All in all this is shaping up to be a great year and we can’t wait for what it has to hold.
