The people you meet
We delivered a load late Friday night/Saturday morning that allowed us to be at the yard, in Taylor, for the weekend. We like being here because it is calm, clean, and a comfortable place to be.
Three weeks ago while we were here we met a couple who had just come over from a different company that are in a straight truck. We have gotten to know them and talk to them from the times that we have run into them here.
Another couple that we met two years ago and the expedite expo recently came over and we were able to get to see them again. We were able to go out to dinner as a group tonight. We enjoyed comparing stories and talking about adventures. The places that we have been and people we have met. It is nice to know that there are still people out there that are like this.
Since the down turn in the economy we have noticed a growing trend of drivers who do not like to talk to others because they are "competition" to them. I am a friendly person most of the time, and like to talk to people. I am glad that we can all come together as a little community.
