Taking the good with the bad
Expediting is almost like a game of chess. Positioning yourself in the right place at the right time to make the best moves possible. There are times in which you have to wait to make the right move, or the only move available to you isn't the best choice, but you have to take it anyway. There are good weeks in expediting and bad weeks. In the end they even themselves out. You can not look at things on a day to day or even week to week basis. You need to look at the big picture, monthly quarterly, and yearly.
There is no equation or method to it, otherwise it would not be expediting it would be generalized freight moving. A lot of people don't even know the true definition of expedite. Expedite means to execute promtly, to accelerate the process or progress. When goods are not going to be delivered quickly enough, whether it be from manufacturing delay or error, someone forgot to stick it on a truck, or whatever it may be, we are here to come in like a super hero with a cape and get it there as quickly and safely as possible.
Not every week is going to be a fantastic week. This week we limited what loads we were able to take as we have plans for this weekend that were made over a year ago, and the health of a family member that was keeping us close to home. This week we aren't having a great week, but we have to remember there is always someone somewhere who is having a worse week than we are.
