Still the King!
Yep, I am still the King of Dry Runs! I had a nice run up near Toronto, Ontario which delivered last night. On the way up, I was pre-dispatched to assist with a White Glove delivery in Rochester, NY. After delivery last night, I came over towards Rochester, and went to sleep. Upon arriving at the customer this morning, I checked in, and waited for the other truck to arrive. Turns out he was picking the freight up from a nearby airport, and was bringing it over. 10 minutes later, phone rings... freight didn't come in.. dry run! So, I head to breakfast... get load offer picking up nearby, headed to Connecticut! I accept, get load info, start for pickup..... ring! Load cancelled! 2 dry runs, and it wasn't even 11 am !
Gets a bit frustrating, but sometimes 'stuff happens'. If you get all stressed about it, what have you accomplished? Just suck it up, take the dry run pay, and sit with <75 status waiting on another call :)
